Happy in Cali is finishded. I am planning to do straight line quilting on this one since I am new at Machine quilting. I have been practicing stippling but there is much learning to be done in that area. I ordered a walking foot for my machine which did arrive so Happy is next in line for quilting.
Check it out:
Its going to be a nice little throw quilt for me!
I pulled out my rail fence blocks so that I can focus on getting this once finisihed. This is going to be for our bedroom. I am gathering inspiration from mags and the net to figure out how I am going to lay them out. They are 8 inch blocks and we have a queen so I have to make a good amount of them, depending on how I decide to lay them out.
Here they are so far:

Oh, and for a little cuteness, check out my previous post. Cuteness at the end!

Love them, especially the top "braid" quilt! Free motion does take practice, but it sounds like you're on a great start!
Hey...nice job on your quilts...practice practice practice..that machine quilting...I am trying here....lol. Your fence rail is similar to the one I just finished...love the colours...
I really like the braids, I have tried them once on a border sure does add a nice element.the rail fence is real nice also.
Your french braid quilt is awesome. I made a couple of the french braid quilt but I like how you put plain fabric in between the rows, nicely done. Free Motion Quilting, I still don't have the hand of that yet. They say just take several days and do nothing but that and you will get the hang of it. I however have not done that yet so maybe that is why I don't do so well at it.
That is such a happy quilt! Looks like sunshine!
Happy In Cali is so pretty, love the colors. Believe me, I feel your pain on trying to learn stippling, I STILL haven't done it! One of these days. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
